Training Practical, Fast Fit, Autocentres

Tyre fitting
2 day basic tyre fitting course aimed at specialist tyre fitters. The course provides a basic understanding of tyres, their construction, fault diagnosis, inspection and examination methods, and selection and fitting procedures.

Exhaust fitting
The IMI Exhaust Fitting course is a 2 day course aimed at technicians who replace exhaust systems. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 months practical exhaust fitting experience and possess good communication skills.

Brake Fitting
This course aim is to provide a basic understanding of light vehicle braking systems including system layouts, components and their functions, fault finding and diagnosis and inspection routes

Battery fitting
The IMI Battery Fitting course is a 2 day course aimed at technicians involved with battery testing and replacement. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 months practical battery fitting experience and possess good communication skills.

Roadside breakdown
The IMI Roadside Breakdown course is a 3 day course for specialist tyre fitters who will attend roadside breakdowns. Candidates must have completed a recognised course in Passenger Vehicle Tyre Fitting and possess good communication skills.

Health and safety
This one day course aims to provide a basic understanding of The Health and Safety Work Act 1974, Who is affected, the management of Health and Safety and risk assessment
